There are no HTML elements used except for when you load/save a level; Everything else is just rendered to a <canvas> element. The font is my own, but it's not very usable outside of the game, I'm afraid.
In the code, players, rocks, and flags are all considered "entities" and treated very similarly to each other. The two types of "objects" in the engine mostly boil down to objects that directly effect normal gameplay (like the ones you listed) and "flexible" objects with basically exist outside of the normal gameplay logic (e.g. signs and teleporters.)
Which music software (or DAW) did you use? (I think it’s GarageBand due to the bark sound being the same for the sampler instrument.)

5 Step Steve used GarageBand, but this game used FL Studio (I sampled the 5SS soundtrack to get the same sample.) Also, the rescue jingle here is the exact same as 5SS.
I cheesed it by somehow making a position where no matter where I moved I always landed back on a flag with one of my kittens and so I was always safe on a 2 flag, then I just entirely skipped the bottom left room, and even if there is not much there I think that I was supposed to go there.
Also really nice map and really good gameplay/mechanics and very interesting/ complicated. Awesome puzzle
I didn't screenshot it, and honestly I have no idea how I did it, but it was abusing flags to keep my Steves alive and a duplicator to get more Steves, after that I somehow got them all stuck and that was it.
i think this should fix it? the clone destroyer is located upwards, and the rock allows you to push it and still die, but you can't escape it hopefully.

I know this is unrelated but the second music disc in the level editor (aka the white music disc) has a song that’s not featured in the game. Is this the editor theme? (Btw it’s a banger.)

I made a custom map! here is the code beneath, just paste it in the Level editor to play it, the map isn't made to be really challenging but you do need to have some advanced game knowledge about it, however even with that I feel that the map isn't too hard (before anybody asks, "yes, the first move will always result in your death, this is a map about Statues and it aims to show off interactions with those statues, for that you'll always die on the first move, just move again to continue playing")
I lost my progress, and want to prevent it from happening again. I'm not too confident about the itch.io web saves, is there a download for the game or a way to make sure my save isn't wiped again?
I think you can backup your localstorage, maybe? Last time I checked,Itch’s localstorage is actually shared among every game, which makes things a bit inconvenient.
I might just make a native PC build at some point.
Got this one, such a beautiful puzzle with so little things going on, was it intentional that you had to collect the cat with a dead Steve or is it unintentional?
(I was ready to push a flag up to the cat just to revive my other steve)
I completed this challenge! very cool and very hard, at the end I almost got soft-locked because I was about to put a rock in front of the exit, which isn't ideal. Can't wait for more challenges.
Can we please have an option to manually export a saved game? I have an old computer and my browser sometimes crashes, which is making me lose all my progress and for some reason it usually doesn't save a backup file automatically.

I cheesed it by somehow making a position where no matter where I moved I always landed back on a flag with one of my kittens and so I was always safe on a 2 flag, then I just entirely skipped the bottom left room, and even if there is not much there I think that I was supposed to go there.
Also really nice map and really good gameplay/mechanics and very interesting/ complicated. Awesome puzzle

I didn't screenshot it, and honestly I have no idea how I did it, but it was abusing flags to keep my Steves alive and a duplicator to get more Steves, after that I somehow got them all stuck and that was it.

I made a custom map! here is the code beneath, just paste it in the Level editor to play it, the map isn't made to be really challenging but you do need to have some advanced game knowledge about it, however even with that I feel that the map isn't too hard (before anybody asks, "yes, the first move will always result in your death, this is a map about Statues and it aims to show off interactions with those statues, for that you'll always die on the first move, just move again to continue playing")
